Completion Date: September 2015
Client: Essex County Council
Main Contractor: Morgan Sindall
Architect: Feilden + Mawson
Project Brief
To supply and install Omnis Exteriors SpeedZip 408 profile aluminium standing seam to main school roof, Trocal single-ply membrane to various small roofs and Tata Steel & Profiles C19 profile soffit cladding, Fatra membrane lined insulated gutters and PPC Aluminium rainwater pipes, bargeboards and flashings.
After the existing school burnt down, the team was charged with building a new bespoke modern school on the footprint of the old building in as short-term programme as possible, the brief was to build the new infants school to a modern day aesthetic along with a refurbishment of the existing dining hall and an additional classroom block elsewhere onsite, the site was very limited for access and as such we chose to onsite roll the SpeedZip 408 standing seam topsheets to mitigate issues with deliveries and disruptions to local services. The project was completed successfully on time and Morgan Sindall achieved a 100% safe working and delivery achievement.
